ReAnn Taylor
ReAnn Taylor was born in Seattle and spent nearly eighteen years living in Australia. She grew up in the church, spent years in full-time ministry, and somehow ended up writing a novel about two women who accidentally build an empire from their feet.
A singer, actor, and lifelong storyteller, she’s performed on stages around the world. At thirty, life threw her an unexpected plot twist when she found herself divorced and raising three children on her own. Since then, she’s been learning the beautiful, messy balance between surviving and thriving, and hopes every woman discovers that starting over isn’t the end of the story... It’s where the real story begins.
She lives in Atlanta, where she’s usually writing, auditioning, singing, or chasing her next slightly outrageous creative idea.

Emma Ysobel
Emma Ysobel was born in Italy and moved to the United States at the age of four. A lifelong creative, she grew up immersed in theater, visual arts, and storytelling before setting those dreams aside to build a successful corporate career while raising her three children as a single mother.
When the pandemic changed everything, Emma chose to return to the creative life she had always envisioned. Today, she writes, directs, and produces her own original projects. Much like Zoe, Emma has a quick wit, an optimistic spirit, and a knack for finding humor in life’s most chaotic moments; qualities that naturally found their way into Rated M for Motherhood.
She lives in Decatur, where she’s busy creating her next film, television series, or novel.
The story behind the story
It started with
an acting class.
Then came
the “what if?”
ReAnn and Emma met in an acting class in Atlanta and quickly realized their creative worlds were destined to collide.
Like most artists, they spent countless hours dreaming up increasingly ridiculous ways to fund their creative projects. Yes, OnlyFans briefly made the list. No, they never actually did it. Instead, they decided it would be far more fun to write about two women who did.
Rated M for Motherhood is loosely inspired by pieces of their lives, stories they’ve heard, and the wonderfully overactive imaginations of two women who ask, “But what if...?” far too often.
While there are definitely kernels of truth sprinkled throughout these pages, not everything India and Zoe do actually happened. Some moments are real. Some belong to friends. Some are entirely fictional. And some exist simply because the authors decided to throw caution to the wind, live a little vicariously through their characters, and see where the story wanted to go.
As for which stories belong to ReAnn and Emma...
